YellowBlogByTheSea was created to supplement the online information about our oceanfront rental homes, "Halcyon Days" and "Yellowdog By The Sea".
"Yellowdog" is a gorgeous beachfront vacation home, located on North Forest Beach in Hilton Head Island, SC which was bought in 2000 as a 3 bed 2.5 bath beach cottage. Over the next four months Rosie, acting as contractor, designer and decorator transformed the house into a magnificent 6 bed 6 bath dream house. Rosie reset the standard for fine rental properties and very soon "Yellowdog" became one of the most sought after oceanfront vacation rental homes on Hilton Head Island.
"Halcyon Days" was completed in May 2004, after Rosie realized that there was considerable demand for larger oceanfront rental homes on the island. Many of "Yellowdog's" clients were experiencing growth in their own families and were squeezing into "Yellowdog", not wanting to stay elsewhere.
With over 7,500 sq. ft. and 8 full bedrooms and 8.5 glamorous bathrooms, "halcyon Days" was designed, furnished and decorated by Rosie to compliment "Yellowdog" and meet this need. The house was an immediate hit and today "Halcyon Days" grosses over $300,000 in rental income and provides many larger multi generational families and various other types of renters with a Majestic holiday experience.
"Yellowdog by the Sea" and "Halcyon Days" compliment each other perfectly and with both homes renting at capacity during most of the year, Rosie and Andre' and actively looking for a couple of homes to add to the family.
